Battle of life

Wind was flowing hard that day. Veer was sipping hot tea. His mind was not calm. It was working  backwards.

He was retrospecting. He remembered the day he was transferred to the army quarters at Dehradun. There he met Major Chauhan. A senior officer with a great level of dignity. He had a great thinking. Always used to guide new ones.

On one day news came over the phone that the troops were called for a battle. Veer and Major Chauhan were also a part of it. They geared up and went for the war.

Veer was new to this. He was well trained, but this was his first time where he was put forward on a real uncontrolled mission.

He could see his mates die. For few moments he used to get numb. He was gathering all his energy to fight and to press the trigger of his rifle.

After a while Major Chauhan came near him and asked about his status. He knew Veer was bit scared.

Veer asked him, What do we do now. Should we retreat. Our strength is dropping. Should we plan something.

Hearing this Major Chauhan replied, In war there is no time to think, it all depends on what you have planned or what destiny has planned for you. We are just a pre-programmed bots for completing the mission. Let us fight and embrace victory. That is why we are here.

The war came to an end. The Indian army won. But also lost their brave soldiers, one of them was Major Chauhan.

Veer was shattered at first. But over the years he became a brave soldier and won many battles.

He learnt that every person has a goal to achieve in his life. For that he makes many plans. Some get dropped out and some succeed. And in the essence of a plan there lies some people who become a part of it, knowingly or unknowingly.

Major Chauhan, died but his aim was to protect his country. And in the mean time he made a sense of realization to Veer.
Veer continued the legacy of Major Chauhan to guide the weak and prepare them to face the battle of their life.

well its quite debatable weather destiny guides our actions or our actions guide our destiny.. whatever one might believe, again in this article too, it says courage and self belief are very pivotal for success.. yes, there will be times when we will be gripped by fear, self doubt but the key lies in overcoming them and moving ahead...
