Sorry, but I am gonna hurt you..

Ashish used to like a girl named Shweta. Both used to know each other from college days. Ashish was 1 year senior to Shweta. Their initial interaction was limited to studies. But later they became good buddies.

Ashish was fully into her. He was a kind of guy who was more of a perfectionist. He could do anything he was challenged to. He was not a philanderer but a regular college boy.

Shweta on the other side was beautiful. But didn’t have the typical sexy physique. She had a really good nature. She used to like to speak with everyone and make new friends. A fun loving gal.

These were some of the traits Ashish was looking at, for a life partner. He didnt look at other girls like every college boy. He used to respect every girl. Ashish started being possessive about Shweta when she used to talk to other boys. But he didn’t have the guts to tell her about his liking towards her.

Ashish also had some weak points. He couldn’t control his anger. Once he declared someone bad he would never talk to that person. He was advised by many to control this issue. But Ashish was stuck on it. Even Shweta didn’t like this. He used to get angry very soon.

Time passed. Ashish completed his graduation and then he felt the widening distance between him and Shweta. Still a year passed, communication was restricted to only phone calls.

Ashish felt lonely. He was missing her badly. His friends could notice this. They all suggested him to ask her. But he was a shy guy. His emotions couldn’t easily be thrown out until they pile up and blow up like a volcano. He started introspecting. Trying to find what he really wanted – a close friend or a girlfriend.

But was convinced by her absence that he really missed her. It was the month of may. He had made up his mind to ask her. Gathering all his strengths he called up Shweta one evening.

He was aggressive this time. It erupted like a volcano. And blasted the 3 golden words. To his surprise Shweta was flabbergasted. She never thought about Ashish acting this way. She had no words to say. She told him she will think about it and let him know.

Ashish was tensed. He didn’t knew what he did was right or wrong. His friends were still supporting him.

Finally Shweta called Ashish for a talk at CCD. Ashish as usual had a guilty look on his face. She initiated the chat. She said Lets be very clear. She explained him that she always considered him as  a good friend. But Ashish was not convinced. He tried his best to express his emotions. He knew that Shweta was the best soul mate he could ever get in his life time.

He said, Look Shweta I know I am not the best. I have few flaws but I will try my best to curb it. I will love you as much as I can. I cant promise you endless happiness. I may hurt you in future. But that would hurt me more than you would.

Shweta started crying. She didn’t knew what to do. She was well aware that Ashish was a good boy and from a well to do family. And he would do anything for her.

Seeing her even Ashish broke into tears. That moment was worth seeing. Suddenly she said I love you too. It was a big surprise to him. It was a moment of truth for both.

They hug each other tightly. Everyone in the shop were staring at these two love birds. All started clapping at this happy moment.

They married few years later. Sometimes when Ashish thinks of his past, it brings him a spine chilling experience. Life without Shweta would have been an …………….. No comments.
